last night i tracked some piano for julians record, it was the first song that they started tracking and it sounds totally rad, that thing is going to be amazing, i love that dude so much, a few nights ago we rode bikes and talked about life, beautiful night.

today we are leaving for some shows in wisconsin, i am definitely excited to play some shows, tour/recording/tour is 2 weeks away, shit is going to be out of control, we get to see all our friends, take our shirts off, this is the summer of old glory bros revenge

there is a dillema besides my terrible spelling, "my" sidekick wont read my sim card anymore, and i really need a sidekick for tour, i cant afford to buy a new one, and i cant afford to have it fixed, because it definitely doesnt have insurance, please help me out, i will give you anything you want that isnt money...

so i have been lurking around all morning finally listening to a bunch of bands and watching their videos that people have either told me to listen to, or watch, bands i have heard about, or bands with weird names that i see everywhere...


but alot of these bands dont sound real, it all sounds electronic, barely any guitars, fake drum sounds, and stuff that could only be pulled off live if it were pre-recorded and playing along with the band... im not into that... are you into that? maybe i am the only one who isnt... but if you thought it was a big deal that ashlee simpson was lip syncing, then you should be worried about your favorite band playing along to their songs while they pretend to play them, because this shit seems to be the thing to do these days... anyone can make a fucking dance song in garage band or fruity loops on their computers. it is scary how music is transforming, dance music and rock music are almost the same thing, and these proclaimed "rockstars" are only strumming a few chords and letting their computers play the rest, i see what you are doing, and i dont like it. Also, why do bands sing half of a song and scream the rest? screaming does not make your band sound heavier or "more brutal", it doesnt give you any cred, it usually makes me walk away from your set instantly...

there are so many awesome genuine bands who really can play their shit, and do a great job at it, im not saying that these electronic bands are not good, and dont deserve to have people listen to their music... but i am saying to be careful when you go see these bands, it may sound good coming through the house speakers, but without these backing tracks of the stuff that they arent ACTUALLY playing, would you love it so much? would it make you feel the way you do when you listen to it? also, screaming or yelling a few choice parts i can understand, to add excitement and make a certain line stand out, but not switching completely from singing half of a song to screaming the other half, what the fuck?! choose one or the other, if you are going to sing, then sing. if you are going to scream, then scream. dont mix the two because it makes me want to vomit.

we arent machines, but from what i am hearing i would assume these songs were written for robots who have broken hearts and too much "drama"

the videos

who thinks of these things? i just watched a series of 5 videos and 4 out of 5 were the same exact thing, a band is somehow introduced into a party situation, and then all of the sudden they are playing in the room of said party "rocking out" way too seriously and lifting up their legs and guitars at the same time like puppets. they do this surrounded by a bunch of kids that dont really know the words... do they for real think this is cool? what the hell is going on? why arent videos funny and entertaining for these screamopoppunkelectronicgarbage bands? if anyone can please help me out with my issues i would really appreciate it, i might go see a therapist about it, i am very bothered

so i overdid it a little bit during my recovery from my sinus infection, i shouldnt have been singing and demoing as much as i was, and now i believe i have a popped blood vessel on my vocal chord, its nothing too serious, but i have been coughing up little bits of blood, got a catscan, and came to the conclusion that i need to be on complete vocal rest for a while, but i dont really have a while, so saturday should be long enough. i dont want things to get worse, but i dont want to let anybody down, i will be taking it easy...
i hate having to cancel a show, but i need to save myself for saturday, i feel awful, but i really need to lookout for my health, i want to be singing for the rest of my life, fucking it up now would not be a good move, so friday in indiana is cancelled, we will be back there so soon though

i saw paramore tonight at house of blues with annie d, all of those other bands that played were awful, boring, and all had the same lame moves, like kicking one leg up and lifting their guitar up with it, i dont understand that shit, they looked like puppets.

paramore sounded excellent, that girl can wail, super entertaining, A+

just got back from the nest/practice space/studio, dannyp nailed out 3 new songs for some rough demos, one is heavy, one is dancey, and one has a huge mosh part

i have a crush on jeffree star, and im pretty sure that he knows it now, i just want to take it slow, be friends first... you know....

so weve posted a TON of stuff online recently.  on purevolume.com/2sweetil, we have all 3 new songs we did with mike watts, the entire "burning alive in the prairie state" ep, "better in bed than ever as friends", AND 2 songs from our old demo.  so yeah dudeman check that out and party on the internet forever. 

and on myspace.com/2sweet, we added 1 more new song, as well as "expatriates and survivors of love...".  so, you know, add that shit to your profile, or maybe just learn how to play piano so you can serenade your gf/bf over a romantic, candle lit meal of food. 

i just watched "frailty" with bill paxton, and it was sweet until the ending.  i smell bad and my chest itches from where it got waxed.  daaang.
